The tundish nozzle sits under the tundish and meters steel toward the mould. Plants replace it when the bore is worn or when the casting practice changes size.

The alumina outer body holds the piece in the well. The zirconia insert is the steel-contact face. A quick-change tundish nozzle is the same metering job in a changer assembly. Send that assembly drawing before a quotation.

Use the bore the strand already runs. The TDS list is 10–16.5 mm, including the half-millimetre steps. A 14 mm nozzle does not replace a 14.5 mm nozzle unless the plant accepts the change.
